Health care is one of the largest expenses for businesses and individuals. Health is not just going to the doctor when you’re feeling ill. It is about our over-all sense of well-being and the quality of our lives.
Shelby County has launched several initiatives to improve the health of its residents. One of which is building an extensive trail system to provide people of all ages with the access to a no-cost place to cycle, walk, jog, hike, or skate. The City has plans to continually grow this network of trails to make it more and more accessible to all areas of the community. Check out the map of the Shelbyville Trails System featured here for more info on this fantastic amenity!
Another initiative, Healthy Shelby County, operates with a mission to work with community stakeholders so that the healthy choice is the easy choice for each of us to make. With its action teams, Healthy Shelby County gives residents an opportunity to be heard and shape the health of this amazing county!
